Hello! I'm Phuong Nguyen
I am currently in my Ph.D. degree in College of Education, Curriculum and Instruction Department with the major in Learning, Design, and Technology at University of Houston where I previously had my Master's Degree in the same major. I have been working with ESL university students for 5 years in Vietnam in such an urban situation of large and multi-level class. My research interest is finding an intervention of technology tools to bridge the gap and provide equal chance to succeed for my diverse students.

Teaching Philosophy
I strongly believe in my second language teaching philosophy of teacher’s role as constructivist, facilitator, resourcer, and helper to build up the friendly learning environment in class with the motivation provided from the very beginning. My students will be individually respected and learn to work in groups and for the groups. I will also try my best to bring global awareness to class and balance it with the Vietnamese cultures as well as enhancing my teaching skill and broadening my knowledge. The need of a close relationship with the parents, the teaching colleagues, and administrators is undeniable when collecting data from three sources to develop curriculum according to my belief.
